As Historians, our children at Bude Park Primary will:

  • Have a coherent understanding and knowledge of Britain’s past and that of the wider world.
  • Be inspired and curious to know more about the past and begin to understand how this has shaped how we live today.
  • Ask perceptive questions, think critically, weigh evidence, sift arguments, develop perspective and judgement and draw conclusions about the past.
  • Know and understand how Britain has influenced and been influenced from the earliest times to the present day
  • Know and understand significant aspects of the history of the wider world, including how ancient civilisations have impacted on the modern world.
  • Know and understand how key events in the past have influenced our local area.
