Art – curriculum information

As Artists, our children at Bude Park Primary will: 

  • Be provided with a wide range of opportunities to develop their skills using a variety of materials and media.
  • Learn the skills of drawing, painting, printing, collage and sculpture and be given a range of starting points to develop their creative ideas.
  • Be enabled to communicate what they see and feel and opportunities to delve into the use of colour, texture, pattern, shape and form.
  • Be expected to be reflective and evaluate their own work and the work of others.
  • Study a range of artists, both contemporary and modern and learn about different art periods.
