Remote Education

Our Aproach

Bude Park Primary School maintains the capability to provide high-quality remote education in the event of school closures. Our approach ensures that pupils can continue to access meaningful learning that aligns with our curriculum and supports their progress.

How remote learning will be delivered

When remote education is required, pupils will access learning through an appropriate online learning platform.

Where online access is not possible, the school will provide alternative materials so that all pupils can continue learning.

Expectations for pupils and parents

To support effective remote learning, we ask that:

  • Pupils engage with the learning provided each day
  • Completed work is submitted through the agreed method so teachers can review progress
  • Parents help establish routines that support learning at home
  • Parents contact school if they experience difficulties accessing remote education or require additional support

Support for pupils with SEND

We are committed to ensuring that remote education is accessible for all pupils, including those with SEND. This may include:

  • Adapted or differentiated materials
  • Additional scaffolding or visual supports
  • Alternative formats where needed
  • Increased communication with families to ensure provision remains appropriate

Safeguarding and online safety

Safeguarding remains a priority during any period of remote education. Pupils will only use platforms approved by the school and all communication between staff and pupils will follow our safeguarding and online safety policies. Parents will be reminded of how to keep children safe online and how to report any concerns.
