At Bude Park Primary School, our curriculum is designed to help pupils achieve clear learning goals, building progressive knowledge and developing key skills across all subject areas, in line with the National Curriculum.
We place a strong emphasis on reading, writing and mathematics, as we believe these provide the foundations for pupils to become confident, successful life-long learners.
Our curriculum also reflects and promotes the school’s core values of resilience, positive attitudes and independence. These values are modelled and taught both explicitly and implicitly, helping us to nurture the citizens and leaders of the future.
To support this, we embed spiritual, moral and social understanding throughout our teaching. This enables pupils to grow into well-mannered, responsible individuals who know right from wrong, and who are tolerant and respectful of others.
Through this rich, engaging and broad curriculum, our pupils are well-prepared not only for their secondary education, but also for life in modern Britain and beyond.
