📱 Online Safety Update
At school, we are proud of the strong offer we provide around online safety education. Children learn regularly about how to stay safe, how to communicate respectfully and what to do if something online makes them feel uncomfortable.
However, we are seeing an increasing number of reports involving pupils using social media platforms to call one another names or send unkind messages outside of school. Although these incidents happen at home, they understandably spill over into school life and can have a significant impact on children’s wellbeing.
We would like to take this opportunity to remind families of the age restrictions for the most commonly used platforms:
WhatsApp – 16+
TikTok – 13+
Snapchat – 13+
Instagram – 13+
Facebook – 13+
These age limits are set by the companies themselves for safeguarding reasons.
We kindly ask parents and carers to monitor their child’s online activity closely and ensure they are only accessing age‑appropriate platforms. Working together, we can help keep all children safe online and support them to use technology responsibly.
Thank you for your continued support. ... See MoreSee Less
